Use this guide for Panasonic TV (Experimental) in Remote Mouse & Keyboard. It connects directly to a compatible VIERA TV over your local network; Remote Helper is not required.
Choose the connection for your TV’s operating system. Panasonic models using Android TV or Google TV should follow the Android TV guide. Models using Fire TV should follow the Fire TV guide.
Prepare Your TV
- Connect the TV and your iPhone or iPad to the same local network. The TV can use Ethernet while your iPhone uses Wi-Fi on the same router.
- Allow Local Network access for the app in iPhone or iPad Settings. See the local network guide if the permission is disabled.
- Keep the TV on and open its network settings using the physical remote.
- Enable TV Remote App or Network Remote Control, depending on the model. On compatible VIERA models, the setting is Network → TV Remote App Settings → TV Remote → On. Panasonic describes this setting in its VIERA remote setup instructions.
Menu names vary by model and software version. If these settings are absent, check the TV’s operating system and use the matching platform guide above.
Pair in the App
- Open Add Device in Remote Mouse & Keyboard. Tap Show All if the device list is filtered.
- Choose Panasonic TV, marked Experimental.
- Select your TV when it appears.
- If the TV displays a PIN, enter it when the app asks. Keep the TV awake until the connection completes.
- Open the saved TV and try navigation and playback with the available controls.
If the TV Does Not Appear
In the Panasonic device list, use Manual connection · Experimental. Find the TV’s local IP address in its network settings, enter it in the app, leave the default port in place, and tap Add TV. Open the saved device and complete any pairing prompt. Manual connection still requires the TV’s network remote setting to be enabled.
If connection or pairing fails:
- Confirm that both devices use the same home network. Guest Wi-Fi and isolated networks can block communication.
- Recheck Local Network permission and the TV’s remote-control setting.
- Keep the TV awake and retry, watching for an approval or PIN prompt.
- If you entered an IP address manually, check that it still matches the address shown by the TV.
Panasonic support through this mode is experimental. Available keys, wake, text entry, apps, and inputs can vary by model. If setup still fails, contact support with the model, software version, and the step that failed.
Common questions
Does this guide apply to every Panasonic TV?
No. This guide covers the experimental Panasonic VIERA connection. If your TV runs Android TV, Google TV, or Fire TV, use the guide for that operating system instead.
Does Panasonic pairing always need a PIN?
Pairing depends on the model. If your TV displays a PIN and the app requests it, enter that code to finish connecting. Keep the TV awake during setup.
Can I connect to Panasonic by IP address?
Yes. The Panasonic option in Add Device offers manual connection. Enter the TV's local IP address, keep the default port unless your setup requires another, and complete any pairing prompt.
